Award to Researchers and Medical Teams in Asian Countries
The 8th Kobayashi Foundation Award Guidelines for Applicants
The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to the outstanding researchers, healthcare professionals, or medical teams who have made remarkable social contributions in the field of cancer chemotherapy in Asian countries except Japan.
Please find two different application guidelines and forms. One is for the researchers (Part 1), and another is for the healthcare professionals or medical teams (Part 2), who contribute to the development of medical care and society in your own country.
Part 1：Award to Researchers
Objective
The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to a researcher who created distinguished research and remarkable contributions and/or developments and achievements for oncology or cancer chemotherapy in his or her own country, other than Japan.
How to Apply

Download the application form from the website of the Kobayashi Foundation for Cancer Research, and fill out the form in English, with a recommendation from your institutional leader. Upload the application in PDF and MS Word format on the website.
Application Period
From January 15 to March 29 (by 5pm JST), 2024 (Extended)
Selection Process
One or two award winners will be selected by members of the selection committee composed of oncology and cancer chemotherapy experts of Kobayashi Foundation.
Award
One or two researchers selected from all applicants who created distinguished research achievements in the field of oncology and cancer chemotherapy in applicant’s country can obtain the award with the prize money of 2,000,000 Japanese yen.
Result Announcement
The result will be announced on the websites of Kobayashi Foundation. Also the result will be given to the applicants individually.

Part2：Award to the healthcare professionals or medical teams
Objective
The Kobayashi Foundation Award will be given to one or two healthcare professionals or medical teams (e.g. medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical educators, etc.) who made remarkable contributions developments and/or achievements for cancer chemotherapy in their own country, except Japan. The applicant (representative person) must be at age 50 years or younger as of February 29, 2024.
